KILL ’EM WITH KINDNESS

Matthew 5:44-48

If you are feeling sad cause someone has stomped you in the ground

Christ Jesus wants you to know that He can always pull you back around

Even when people chew you up and spit you right back out

Don’t you do the same because that’s not what you’re about

When people hurt your feelings and put you so low to the ground

Dwell on the day the sky will crack and you’ll hear that trumpet sound

Listen, the enemy is going to continue to make people lie, cheat and steal

You must ignore it and let your light shine declaring that Jesus is real

We often wonder why we show kindness, yet still get treated wrong

You’ve got to pick your head up because it won’t last for very long

The Lord says to cast all your troubles and worries upon Him

Cause if you don’t your blessings from Christ will be very slim

Keep your shoulders back and your head up high

And then look far out into the deep blue sky

If you’ve helped someone and they treated you real bad

Jesus says love them anyway, but don’t you stay mad

This cruel world will always have you shed a tear

The reason is because for God many don’t even fear

Don’t hang your head down when you’re sometimes mistreated

Because the devil is a lie and has already been defeated

During your trials and tribulations with you at times feeling sad

Think about your good days and let it outweigh your bad

Even when you’re accused of things that you know you didn’t do

Just accept it and remember that it also happened to Jesus too

So when people treat you different or as if you were mindless

Then I’m here to let you know, to kill them with kindness
